Beta Feedback! 7.5/10 for Fun!

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

We’ve counted up all of the surveys and here are the stats:

Survey says: Airplane Dash is easy to learn, difficult to master, fun to play, and visually rewarding.

Rating low to high, high being better

  • Fun: 7.5/10
  • Feedback 7.6/10
  • Visual Effects: 7.4/10
These last two are reversed, lower is better
  • Learning Curve: 3.7/10
  • Balance & Difficulty: 6.2/10

We hope you will download and try our game! We always love feedback. 🙂

Beta Week 2! Change Log

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Version 0.42 contains all of the changes made in the first week of Beta.

Version 0.42 Change Log:

Turbulence (Environmental Effect):

  • The randomized luggage placement has an expanded range now, to affect more tiles.

Luggage:

  • Luggage now blocks the serving of passengers if it is in the way.

Tutorial:

  • The Tutorial Plane has been added to the game. This feature may be somewhat buggy, patches pending.

Shop State:

  • Microwave Upgrade added to the game, allowing you to prepare burgers 2x as fast as before once upgraded.
  • Peanuts should be in by the end of the week.

Passengers:

  • The Celebrity passenger has been implemented.
  • The celebrity has 2 wants, which must be answered simultaneously to satisfy him.

Profile State:

  • The game now has 3 profiles to select from, allowing individual players to store different levels of progress through the game.
  • Erasing a profile clears its name, cash, and other progress, allowing you to enter a new profile.

High Scores:

  • High scores are now being tracked for the Small Plane, each play through where you beat one of the current high scores will be saved to this state.

Robert Wolfe – Donation!

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Our team would like to send out a big Thank You to Robert Wolfe of Wolfe Financial Group for his generous donation of the domain name “airplanedash.com”. Thanks to him, sharing our game with everyone is even easier than before, and we’ve got our name attached to it!

Thank You, from all of us on team Frobot Prime!

First Beta Build!

Monday, August 1st, 2011

We had a mini-sprint of bug fixes and gameplay modifications between Alpha and Beta, as well as a few minor updates from Beta for today.

Version 0.41 Change Log:

Turbulence (Environmental Effect):

  • The luggage dropped by turbulence will now drop more than 2 total pieces, and eventually block off all of the aisle if left unchecked.
  • In future releases, picking up luggage will grant a multiplier.

Memory Management Changes:

  • A few changes have been made to our object manager to correct issues with incorrect allocations.
  • This should prevent any crashes that were caused by reallocating memory already in use.

Texture Swaps:

  • All texture swaps should occur at the appropriate times now.

You can download the current copy of our build on our Download Page.
